About Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academic Scholarship
The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls–South Africa is a female boarding school founded in January 2007 and in Johannesburg, South Africa. Actually, the academy was founded by Oprah Winfrey with the goal of providing educational and leadership opportunities for academically gifted girls from impoverished backgrounds.
It is a residential boarding, special learning school with 300 students enrolled in Grade 8 -12.
The Academy teaches the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) in Grade 8 – 10. Grade 12 students write the Independent Examination Board (I.E.B.) NSC Examination
Moreso, the Academy admits students of any race, colour, national origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities accorded or made available to students at the Academy.

Once all applications have been received and screened, it will set exam dates for those applicants who meet the criteria. There are several stages to the selection process:
