Heidelberg University Master’s Degree Programme:
Masters degree programme is an advanced programme which follows the completion of a bachelor programme or another basic programme.
Its usual duration is four semesters, but may be as short as two or three semesters.

Admission into Heidelberg University:
To be admitted for an undergraduate programme, a prospective student needs a higher education entrance qualification as well as a very good knowledge of the German language.
If your higher education entrance qualification is not fully equivalent to the German “Abitur”, you will be required to pass an assessment test (the “Internationales Studienzentrum” is part of the University of Heidelberg. Its aim is to prepare students for studying at the post-high school level by teaching them German and the specific knowledge required).
University places for prospective students from non-EU/EEA countries with foreign university entrance qualifications are directly allocated by the university.
Admission procedures differ between subjects. An assessment of whether the applicant fulfils the admission requirements (university entrance qualification, German language skills…) will generally be conducted in the case of applications for a degree programme that have been submitted in time and in the prescribed form.

MBBS at Heidelberg University:
The medical faculty in Heidelberg University is the oldest in Germany. The medical course lasts at least 6 years + 3 months and leads to the State Examination and the subsequent Licence to Practise Medicine. The Dean is Prof. Dr Dr. h.c. Hans-Günther Sonntag.
