UCL Global Scholarships
So, the UCL Global Scholarships program is designed to support international students that are from lower-income backgrounds. The goal is to help promote easy access to study at UCL and make the student body remain diverse. More importantly, these scholarships provide support for living costs and/or tuition fees for the duration of a degree.
As regards the scholarships, there are separate awards for the Bachelor’s degree candidates and Master’s degree candidates.
UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship
Majorly, the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship is to enable and encourage international students from low-income backgrounds to pursue full-time Undergraduates degree studies at University College London.
Eligibility
- Any country other than the U.K
- You must be eligible for the overseas fee rate
- Also, you must come from a low-income background
- And have submitted an admission application for a full-time undergraduate degree at UCL in 2022/2023

Scholarship Value
Currently, there are 30 scholarships available in 2022/2023. That is 10 awards of full tuition fees and maintenance, 20 awards of full tuition fees only.
Scholarship Duration
Also, the scholarship will run for the normal duration of the program
In line with this, scholarship recipients must inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately about any other funding towards their UCL undergraduate degree. This is before or subsequent to the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarships that they received.
Selection criteria
Again, this scholarship is given on the basis of financial need. And also, with the recommendation of the Student Funding Office.

- Click on the ‘view’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for its funding.
- In the application screen, click on the ‘funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
- Finally, you are now on the funding page. However, to find out which funds you are eligible to apply for, click ‘check and apply’ under ‘funds available’.
- Click on the scholarship name of the scheme you wish to apply for.

UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship Information
University College London UCL Global Master’s Scholarship
This scholarship is currently open for all taught master’s programs. Also, this will enable and encourage international students from lower-income backgrounds to pursue their full-time studies at UCL.
Eligibility
- Firstly, you can come from any country other than the United Kingdom
- Come from a lower-income background
- Also, you must have submitted an admission application for a full-time Master’s degree at UCL in 2022/2023

Scholarship Value
For instance, there are up to 70 scholarships available currently in 2022/2023
The value of the bursary is 15,000 pounds.
Benefits
In continuation, you may hold the UCL Global Master’s scholarship alongside other scholarships, studentships, awards, or bursaries.
The amount of the scholarship can be adjusted and this depends on the total value of other funds that the student received.
Duration
Here, this scholarship lasts for only one year.
Not to forget, scholarship recipients must inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately about any other funding towards their UCL undergraduate degree. This is before or subsequent to the UCL Global Master’s Scholarships that they received.
Additionally, the scholarship will be applied first to the recipient’s tuition fees. Any remaining funds after the tuition payment will be paid to the recipient in three equal installments. That is, throughout the academic year for maintenance.
